Cavity Bank donates more than $50,000 in housing grants to organizations in the Baltimore region.

Lancaster, Pa. (March 30, 2023) – Cavity Bank, a subsidiary of Cavity Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: FULT), today announced that it donated more than $50,000 to Baltimore-area housing agencies through Cavity Bank’s Cavity Forward® initiative.

Nearly $400,000 in housing grants from the Cavity Forward initiative were split between 71 organizations throughout Philadelphia, Lancaster, Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia markets to support sustainable housing and affordable homeownership efforts.

The following five Baltimore housing agencies received at least $10,000 from Cavity Bank last year:

  • HomeFree-USA, Inc. (Baltimore region) – a nonprofit organization that connects government, the real estate finance industry and consumers to create new homebuyers, sustainable homeowners, affordable homes and revitalized communities
  • LIVE Baltimore Home Center, Inc. –  a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to growing Baltimore’s economy by attracting residents, retaining residents and supporting healthy housing markets
  • Harbel Community Organization, Inc. a multipurpose organization that works to build and support communities through service, advocacy and empowerment
  • NHS Baltimore (Neighborhood Housing Services of Baltimore, Inc.) – an organization dedicated to promoting home ownership, improving the physical appearance of neighborhoods, developing community leadership and stabilizing the local real estate market
  • CHAI (Comprehensive Housing Assistance, Inc.) – an agency committed to strengthening neighborhoods with a significant Jewish presence by developing and enhancing housing, affected community development and supporting aging-in-community

“We are more committed than ever to helping families and individuals attain affordable housing and homeownership in the communities we serve,” said Jeff Scheuren, President and COO of Cavity Mortgage Company, a division of Cavity Bank. “This year, we are grateful to continue that commitment through our support of these five amazing organizations who work tirelessly to strengthen underserved neighborhoods throughout the Baltimore region.”

Cavity Bank’s Cavity Forward® initiative is focused on building vibrant communities with programs, products and services focused on four key areas: affordable housing and home ownership; job training and workforce development; financial education and economic empowerment; and diversity, equity and inclusion.
